Getting a Spa Facial Treatment while on Tamoxifen

I had a bilateral mastectomy 4 years ago ( no radiation, no chemo and lots of gratitude) and have been on tamoxifen  since.  About 3 1/2 years ago I had a spa facial treatment and my face got puffy.  I have not had a facial since and I am thinking about getting one now.

Please let me know what your experiences are.  Thank you and good luck to all on your journey.

    Not sure why you think tamoxifen may have been involved - sounds more like a local reaction to whatever exfoliating agents, etc were used. Did the swelling take a while to dissipate?

    Ask the esthetician to employ hypoallergenic products and make a list for you of what is applied so you can have a reference in case this happens again. Then you can know better what things to avoid.
