edited March 2017 in Waiting for Test Results

Hi All. I am new to this group and not even sure how to navigate or if I'm posting in the right forum. I am 47yrs old no known BC on my fathers side, I was not raised with him in my life. No cancers run in my mom side. But I have been having sharp and dull aches in one breast. That same breast has become fuller than the other within the last month. I had my annual mammogram and ultrasound due to the pains but absolutely nothing was found. I am not sure where to turn to next. I have googled symptoms which brought me here. If anyone can share their experiences whether good or bad that mimic mine please do so. Thank you kindly.

Marlenex2, welcome to our BCO community. We are sorry that you are having uncomfortable symptoms. Have you returned back to your doctor to explain the continued and changing symptoms?

All this has happened in a matter of a month. I have called his office now waiting to see him again which isn't until the 20th of March. In the meanwhile, the pain and fullness is still there.

If the mammo and ultrasound didn't show anything, I would think a breast MRI may be the next thing to do. I would also see a breast surgeon/specialist rather than an OBGYN or a regular internist.

It is a good idea to go see a breast specialist and ask your doctor if you can do more tests. I have sharp pains on both of my breasts before, during and right after my periods. I had mammo, US and MRI done and they found a simple cyst on my left breast and a complicated cyst on my right and some other smaller cysts. Doctor told me I have fibrocystic breasts
