How long for everolimus to leave system...

I was on A/A for 3 months, lots of mouth sores, lungs showed "something" (pneumonia looking) on and my blood pressure suddenly is HIGH.. Saw oncologist is sure it is from the everolimus.. Others who have had issues how long did it take to get it out of system? I am 3 weeks off now and on to Xeloda

According to the label, the half life of everolimus is 30 hours, plus or minus 10 hours. So every day and a half you lose 50% of what's in the body.

By three weeks there shouldn't be much left.

But does it build up with being on it the 3 months? Other symptoms are going away, so I'm sure this will, I have never had blood pressure issues in past..if still there in 3 weeks we will look at it more.

When I started my last drug regimen my blood pressure skyrocketed. Up 30 points. But after a couple of months it went back down to normal. Maybe that will happen for you.

It takes the body a while to get over insults. And it sounds like everolimus insulted you.

I love that, and it made me laugh. I think my body likes to hold a grudge, and doesn't forgive some insults easily.

LOL...yah my body is real insulted..hopefully it comes down...Dr seems to think it will..
