transbronchial needle biopsy

Hi,

Has anyone ever had a transbronchial biopsy? I am scheduled to go to the Cleveland Clinic next Wednesday. I have two lymph nodes that the taxol just did not get. My doc wants to know if my breast cancer has changed from ER+. I have to get knocked out-which I hate. I was cancer free for 15 years. Bone mets for almost 2 years.

    I had a endobronchial ultra sound biopsy. I think we are referring to the same thing. They got some tissue from a enlarged hilar node for biopsy but could not get to any of the nodes I had. The procedure itself was fine and no real recovery. I felt fine after anesthesia was out of system. Anesthesia scares me also, I have had at least 12 surgeries so you would think I would no longer be nervous with it, but I still do. Good luck. Let us know how it goes!
