Bilateral Lymph Nodes Positive or Contralateral...anyone else??

I was diagnosed in October with a 1 cm tumor....Had double mast. in November where they found cancer in all four quads. with 10cm of lymph and vascular infiltration. They took two nodes on cancer side. One had micromets the other was clean. On the opposite side they took one node which had macromets. A 4mm growth. No primary tumor on that side. I was staged at a 4 but told it was kind of a technicality because of the regional mets to opposite side....I guess I'm looking for anyone else out there in the same boat. Wondering what I can expect in the future ( the great question, right!?) Getting ready to go to Rochester, MInn for Proton Radiataion for 5 weeks ....have a PET scan next week. Had a spot on my arm that was unexplained during last PET so nerves are starting to get the best of me!!!

Dear Josie,, I don't have experience with this but stopped in to  give support and wish you well on your rads and your next Pet. I know others with similar experiences will be by soon to offer insight.

Hi Josie N, I know your post is from awhile ago, but there isn't too many with this diagnosis of Contralateral Lymph Node Mests, so I've found. I had right CA and had a double mastectomy, one right positive node. Two years later I had a right recurrence and 5 positive left nodes this time, yet no evidence of cancer on the left side. Or elsewhere at this time. Was wondering how you are doing? I'm currently on letrozole,(which is terrible) on number 7 out of 25 rads. After rads oncologist wants me on Ibrance, which I'm not happy about.
