Just diagnosed today with Spindle cell breast cancer

Had a routine mammogram last Monday, got the call Tuesday to come back. Went Thursday had 2nd mamm, u/s showed a 1.5cm tumor rated BI RADS 5- u/s guided core biopsy all within 4 hours. Longest weekend ever of waiting and finally got the call today that biopsy of the lymph node they did is clear, bad news is the spot they biopsied showed Malignant tumor with Spindle Cell Carcinomq :( so scared. Thankful for the speed in which everything is moving-surgery consult tomorrow for exsional biopsy. Anyone with experience with rhis

    Hi Scaredandsad. Hadn't ever heard of spindle cell carcinoma before, so unfortunately I can't offer too much info on the subject. I'm sure someone will come along, but in the meantime I just wanted to welcome you to the boards. Everyone is scared and sad when they get here, but there is something about this large group of women sharing information and experiences that lightens the load a bit. I hope you find comfort and support here as you learn more about your cancer and treatment options. Most people feel better when they have a plan in place.
