How do you know if its a developing cancer?

Options

hi! Im 33 years old, and last month i felt a lump on the right side of my breast near the armpit. I went to my family doctor right away and he recommended a biopsy. At first they suspected its lymphoma and i was told there are numerous lumps on that area. But then when my doctor got the biopsy results, they told me its not cancerous, its just abnormal enlarged lymphnodes which they have no idea what's causing it. Just last week i felt another lump just under my right armpit which is bigger than the first lump that was tested. I went back to the my family doctor and asked for a referal to see an oncologist. Im just glad they were able to book me on the 17th. I know that the result of the biopsy is a good sign but im still worried because what if this is the start of developing cancer. I dont want to wait until it spreads out. I want it removed. I have so many things in my mind right now, Im so terrified coz i have two very young kids. Pls i need advice. Thank you!

My only advise is, listen to your doctors. THEY, not internet bloggers, are the experts.

Listen to your Drs! They are they are the ones who have the medical education, have actually seen you and your tests. No one here can tell you what is (or isn't) going on. Dr 'Quack Google' can not DX you nor can the mirade of sites that are posted there - some quite 'good' but a lot quite bogus.

Once you actually have a DX of some type of BC, it will be easier for those who have gotten a DX to reply appropriately to specific questions. A Thread in Not Diagnosed might get you more replies from those in your situation.

I'd say that most of us here had no "symptoms of developing cancer." Most BC is very slow growing and gives no warnings. My own BC was completely silent, found on a routine mammogram.

I agree with all of the above. Trust in your team. After you get results you may even want to seek a second opinion. But there again, you have to find a way to trust your team.
