edited February 2017 in Waiting for Test Results

4weeks ago I found a large solid mass in my left breast. Been to doctor and waiting results of mammogram. Appointment with surgeon 3 days time. I'm terrified BUT 11 months ago I was trampled by an 18hh shire horse. Massive bruising to left breast. Seems to me to be text book case of fat necrosis but do they normally take 10 months to appear? It's too much of a coincidence to my mind that this large solid flattish lump has appeared in the same breast that was injured. But I'm 68 and worried sick.

Oh my goodness. That is absolutely insane! You must have been in a lot of pain!

Although, you are probably right about the trauma, there really isn't any way to know until the professionals take a took.

It is truly the wait that is excruciating, I frequent these forums to calm my nerves awaiting my results and it helps.

I hope your results come speedily and they are benign!

Trampled by a shire horse ON THE CHEST and lived to tell the tale. You are impressive!  Breast cancer wouldn't even consider come knocking on your door. And even if it dared, I'm pretty sure you'd beat the $!#t out  of it. The short answer is yes, this could very well be fat necrosis. Fingers crossed. Not that you need it <snort>

Glad you are getting a mammogram done. With that kind of an injury, it's good to get it checked out.
