I am new to this forum and I am finding all of the information very useful. I was recently diagnosed with Invasive and In Situ Ductal Carcinoma. On the pathology report the phrase above was listed as well as "Her2/neu (c-erB-2) Gene Detection. Does this mean I am Her2 positive? Meeting with the BC surgeon tomorrow to go over all the results. Had the MRI and PET scan. I'm a little nervouse.

Kristie - if the path report said non-amplified that should mean that you do not express enough Her2 to be considered positive. Everyone has Her2 in their bodies, those of us that are considered to have Her2+ breast cancer have an abnormal overexpression. There is usually a number associated with the test result, so if that is absent itmay be be another indicator that you are Her2 negative. Here is some info from this site regarding Her2 status. I am sorry you are joining us as a newly diagnosed member, but there are welcoming people here to help you and support you. Wishing you the best.
