Searing let down pain in right breast

I have searched all over the internet and a lot of the topics on breast pain is old.

I have NOT been diagnosed. I have been having searing breast pain in the right breast that mirrors milk let down when breastfeeding. I am 42 and clearly not pregnant or breastfeeding (my youngest is eight).

Has anyone else suffered through pain like this? If I keep my sports bra on tight, the pain is manageable. If I take it off, the pain takes my breath away.

Thanks :-)

Breast cancer can have pain and often it doesn't.  Please call your doctor

    to get checked...

Get it checked out—could be an infection in a duct, which should be treated promptly if not ruled out and no other anomaly is present on imaging.

Thanks ladies - I am noticing my right breast is now quite a bit fuller and larger than my left with the pain being localized only to the right side. My right breast feels very similar to that full feeling that was present with breast feeding and that sharp pain when you are engorged. Doctor's appointment is booked for the 17th.
