Radiation needed??

HI I will be getting a BMX once I am done with chemo (surgery should be in mid april sometime) I have no lymph nodes involved, I am triple negative and have the BARD1 gene mutation.......Do you think I need radiation?

Right now my MO says he thinks I will need it....but my breast surgeon and plastic surgeon don't seem to think I will need it since I have no lymph nodes involved (they will biopsy the sentinal node during my surgery to be sure)

I was wondering if anyone else had something like this? What do the percentages look like as far as recurrence numbers etc if I get it or not?

Of course I will do it if I need it....my main concerns are that I live 45 min to an hour from the closest radiation place.. I would have to drive back and forth every day after work for whatever amount of time they say I need it...ugh 2 hours added to my day just driving, plus the time I am in the office getting radiation...I have 3 young children at home

secondly, my plastic sugeon said I would not be able to have the switch out from expanders to my implants until 6 months after radiation is complete...wow!! that would bring me to at least next Nov/Dec....I don't want expanders that long, I want to be DONE with all of this...ugh again LOL

Any advice or statistics would be welcome...esp any information I can bring to my MO on Friday to help state my case :-)
