So I noticed brown discharge out of my nipple the other day. Doctor did a mammo and ultrasound. They said probably papilloma, but never said suspicious of malignancy. I read the report and now I'm scared . image

Well, that would be scary. I'm not sure why they didn't tell you that in the first place. But just so you know, the vast majority of biopsies prove benign, around 80%. So it is more likely than not that this will be okay.

Yes, that is scary. But even if worse comes to worst, half a centimeter square is a very small mass, just on the edge of being visible on imaging.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Call the dr and ask for interpretation. It can be and sounds very scary. Please keep us posted. God bless you.

hi Annie, I am going through the same right now. Just hypoechoic mass, suspition of malignancy. Nothing else. Mammogram was inconclusive, Bi Rads 4 for US, and now my prior films and US are being compared and biopsy is recommended.

I am so scared is not even funny. I have had 2 lumpectomies in each breast to remove fibroadenomas and an aspiration... hoping it will be fibroadenomas again

I know it's hard but stay calm and breath. A week before I turned 39 I had a diagnostic mammogram followed by an ultrasound. I was told BiRads 4. I had a hypoechoic 1.2 cm lump with indistint margins. Google told me cancer. I could not sleep or eat. I was paralyzed with fear. Biopsy did not hurt but still was very scary. I bled a lot and convinced myself that my children were going to watch their mom go through cancer. The lump came back benign. Hang in there. Prayers for good result for you too
