Fellow BC sisters/brothers and my cats....
can fully understand what I'm going through...
I made the mistake of telling my Mom about "going flat" and she immediately told my sister and they both had negative opinions.
Had a bad day: crying, feeling depressed, and missing my cat that passed 4 weeks. Only my cats understand.

sorry to hear you're having a crummy day. It's difficult when people close to you don't support your choices or can't listen to you work through your choices. Very sad for you to lose your cat right when this is happening again too. They really do bring such comfort. A sleeping cat on your lap is one of the best feelings in the world. Maybe talk to others including on here who are more open minded about the choices we have to make. Maybe your mom and your sister will start to listen as well. No words of wisdom, just thinking of you. Take care.

We understand.

It's your body, your choice. Not theirs! I've been flat 5 years, had no desire to go through recon. My choice. Follow your feelings.
Fur babies are the best, hard to loose them.

You have to go with what is right for YOU!!! If they can't support you, tell them to shut up. Seriously!!
There are many cats that need loving homes. If you aren't up to a kitten right now, think about adopting an older cat. It would enrich both your lives!

Thank you all for your kind words. I e-mailed my surgeon this morning and told her I wasn't emotionally strong enough for the surgery now. She totally understood the loss of a beloved pet., and said she would be there when I'm ready. It's only been 4 weeks since my furr-angel passed in his sleep. I'm still grieving. The hard part is that he was with me through all my other cancer surgeries and treatments that started in 1999. This is a pic. of my beloved angel: Aug. 2000., 8 weeks old. I do have 2 other furr-babies at home with me but it's not the same.

I am so sorry. One of my (two) beloved cats died this fall, and I have lost other cats over the years as well, so I know how sad it is. Hugs!

Roxy and Snax., my other 2 cats.

Pabbie, in the Forum: Your Furry Friends there's a topic called Cats, cats, cats where we share the joys and sorrows of being owned by a cat. Check it out, I think you will like it.

ruthgru: thank you, I will. I wanted to show off my girl kitty's sheep-like furr and beautiful blue eyes., so I used a new photo editor in my computer. Check it out!

There is always a choice...you cannot live in two moments at once. Sometimes its hard to decide but time will heal and they will understand
Have a nice day
