Pain 6 weeks after surgery?

Hi,

I had an excisional biopsy (although the pathology report stated it was a lumpectomy) 6 weeks ago. I had a decent amount of pain but it pretty much went away. I'm wondering if a decent amount of pain is normal for 6 weeks out? Especially after it went away? It doesn't feel like burning per se. More like throbbing pain.

The only thing I can think of is that I started running again although slowly and not until a month after surgery (my dr said I was cleared 2 weeks after). Or is it possible that it's much more painful before my cycle? I didn't experience this during my first period after surgery.

Btw, I'm 37 and premenopausal if that has any relevance.

Any suggestions? Or should I call my BS?

definitely call your BS. You may have a seroma or even an infection in there.
