Am currently having undergoing treatment with herceptin/perjeta/taxol combo. Planning to travel to New Mexico and wonder if anyone has had any SE from high altitude travel??

Are you talking about air travel or driving from a lower elevation to a higher/mountain elevation?

The city I live in is at about 5500 feet. While going through chemo we traveled up the mountains to around 8000 feet to go cut down a Christmas tree. This is something we do every year and normally is no problem physically for me. The year of chemo I was very winded and easily tired while we walked/hiked around looking for a tree. After a very short period of time I ended up just going back to our truck and letting the rest of the family get a tree because I was so short of breath and exhausted. I think if you take it easy, don't push yourself and make sure to rest and hydrate you should be fine. Especially if you're not planning on going hiking in the woods in 6 inches of snow .
