Cancer down nationwide, but 'hot spots' persist

    I find it interesting that liver cancer is up nationwide. I wonder if that is due to the alcohol culture of the US--it seems more and more people are drinking more, and more frequently. Bars are big business these days.

    I also find it interesting that the many of the "hot spots" were found in poorer areas(lack of insurance, education, and ignorance about taking care of health in general), and coal mining areas (lung cancer, polluted water from mine tailings), of the country, which to me should be self-explanatory.
