Drains in armpits

Has anyone had their PS put MX drains in their armpit? I have 4 incision scars (2 each side) that seem to be the source of my cording and swelling in armpit.
Seems everyone I know had the drains to the side of their MX site, e.g. rib area. I'd love to find other people in my situation to find out if this is medical acceptable to put drains in axilla.
