I have Stage IV metastatic breast spreading to my brain, Lung and liver. I have completed 10 brain radiation. I am now taking 4 21 day cycle of chemo. I will be done in May. It is crazy how your life can change overnight. I am trying to take one day at a time. I would love to hear from other members about how they are doing.

    Maryclare,

Welcome to the club no one wants to join. Many people on this Stage IV forum are doing very well indeed with metastatic cancer. I am one of them. Stay with us here and explore the threads for brain, lung and liver metastases, plus all the threads on living well with this disease. You will find good information, support and friendship here.

You may want to include a signature on your posts in which you detail your diagnosis and type of chemo. That way members can respond to you more specifically.

    Hang in!

    Tina

    Hi Maryclare,

Look for the Brain Mets Sisters thread. Lots of the ladies there have had brain mets and been treated successfully with radiation. I'm sorry you are here but I am sure you will find comfort in the support shown to you.

Hi maryclare, what helped me the most was reading about other long term survivors. Before I had never heard of anyone living at stage 4 very long and on here you have ladies at 12 , 13, even 20 years at stage 4. We are not statistics!!...I tell myself that all the time.

Wishing you the best , Nan
