    I'm not sure if there is a section/thread for this already, so please point me in the right direction if so.

    I will be having a mastectomy and apparently the reconstruction will be at the same time (I was not given the option of any other way by the plastic surgeon). The surgeon will also put the port in at that time.

    Just looking for info/tips/experiences of people recovering from reconstruction (I am leaning towards DIEP) and going through chemo. Last time I had a lumpectomy and startedchemo 2 weeks later, but I don't have any idea what the time in between will be this time.
