I was just diagnosed and haven't had my surgery yet however in doing all the routine bloodwork I came back with an elevated CA 125 score ( 47.4) now my oncologist wants me to get a CAT scan to see what's going on in my stomach/ovary area. Googling has led me to understand the CA 125 is a cancer marker so now of course I'm very worried even though it can be associated with benign conditions as well. Any of you have any experience with this?

Now I'm super worried that this means the cancer has already metastasized or I have some other cancer:(

CA 125 is associated with ovarian cancer however a slightly elevated level could be caused by inflammation or even your breast cancer.  Tumor markers don't even work for everybody so I don't think you should spend a long time stressing over this.  The CT that your doctor has ordered should alleviate your worries.  Most people diagnosed with breast cancer get further imaging just to make sure the full story is known.
