Four years after radiation therapy .......

Options

Hi, new to the forum and would appreciate any advice.

I had radiation therapy four years ago,  (fifteen radiotherapy and five electron).

I still have a tingling sensation in the breast and a tight sensation around the nipple.

Is this normal?

    Hi Valantina01-

While some women experience side-effects long after they've finished their radiation treatment, it's difficult to say what's normal or not, because each individual will have a different response. Have you discussed the tingling and tightness with your doctors, particularly your radiation oncologist? It's always best to bring unexplained symptoms to the attention of your docs, just to be on the safe side!

Hi all -- just BUMPing this thread in the case anyone has some insight that they could weigh in with.

Valantina, we hope this helps get you some answers and advice from others who may have experienced what you're experiencing.

Valentina - I would like to suggest that you make an appointment to see your RO. I have some radiation fibrosis and some breast & truncal lymphedema and she is able to recommend a certified PT for both.
