Her2 positive/ immediate reconstruction experiences.

Hi there I'm looking for other peoples experiences with having immediate reconstruction post mastectomy and in particular with Her2 er- pr- breast cancer. I've been advised by my surgeons and plastic surgeons that I am a good candidate to have immediate DIEP flap reconstruction but I'm concerned about the higher risk of reoccurrence with this type of cancer. I don't see many ladies with her2 positive that have had an immediate recon and just wanted to know your thoughts or if you had been advised otherwise. Kind Regards Mel

    Melruthfollowing as I am Her+, meeting with plastic surgeon tomorrow. And know per breast surgeon last week I am a definte mastectomy rt. BRACA today was negative ( sigh of relief)..... so looking for input and thoughts as well.
