Hard time focusing at work

Options

It's been 2 years since my last treatment and I'm still having a horrible time trying to focus at my job. I failed my last review which is very unusual for me. I swear I think the chemo fried my brain cells?? I find myself having to really focus extremely hard when trying to drive too, mainly in a busy intersection when there is so much to watch out for. Am I alone, or does anyone else still experience focus/concentration issues long term?? Please share your experience with this if you don't mind, so I know this isn't just "in my head" so to speak...

There is such a thing as chemo brain which affects multitasking abilities in some.  It does go away, but it can also be caused by estrogen suppressants such as tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitors.

Thrifty1, it takes a while, sometimes years, to process a cancer diagnosis. It was about 3 years before I stopped thinking about it every day. I believe we are all victims of Post Traumatic Stress syndrome. It will get better!

thrifty~ I had a thorough cognitive evaluation by a neuropsychologist at a Boston hospital. I was diagnosed with cognitive impairment due to chemotherapy. My main symptoms involve short term memory, executive functioning, attention and fatigue.
