Hi Wiegp22...I had eye twitching with Taxotere, about my third infusion. It lasted for a few weeks past my fourth, and last infusion. Very irritating, but it goes away. I believe that I have read that it's happened to other ladies, as well. If it continues to bother you, talk with your MO. Hang in there!

Hi Weigp22: I also had eye twitching, and my experience was the exact same as biscuits'. It went away a few weeks after finishing Taxotere. No twitching on H and P. It was quite annoying!

My eyesight also became quite poor--I developed a need for reading glasses. When the chemo was finished, my eyesight returned to normal.

I get eye twitching on Taxotere, always resolves when I get a break from that drug. Also, starting about my 3rd or 4th infusion of Taxotere my eyes start watering a lot and my vision is less sharp even with my usual glasses. I find it especially difficult to drive at night. I've done Taxotere 3 times, my eyes always return to normal within a month or two of stopping

    Thank you petjunkie,

Good to know that eyes returned to normal after you were done, why so many times Winthrop taxotere?

Did you also take h an p with taxotere

    yep!

Throughout Tax cycles, I experienced severe eye twitching and blurry sight. Recovered with second line treatment.

    Hope it's bearable.

I had twitching all during taxotere, Herceptin and Perjeta. Just had a very bad bout of it for two months after I developed edema in my eye that I had retinal surgery last July. The part that made it worse was that my eye would completely shut during the twitch and it would be a few seconds until I could open it again. After a long two months of 5 eye drops daily, the retinal swelling and fluid are gone....and so is the twitching.

It's funny all of the things that our oncos say aren't related to chemo....even though we have never had before...diarrhea, bone pain, muscle cramps, muscle spasms, twitching...and the list goes on.

Hopefully the twitches will resolve shortly

Wiegp22... I'm through with the taxoter with Herceptin and Perjeta. I made it through 6.. was going to go on to #7, but with my numb feet and fingers, onco said it was enough. The neuropathy is almost gone...2 years later.

A good fact for hope is that my lab was perfect the entire time and I never had to go in extra for fluids. No infections. I don't want to give a Pollyanna post because I felt like crap a lot....( no pun intended because I had lots of diarrhea) but it is certainly doable. And I was blessed to not have any infections or hospitalization. I give my Doc the stink eye when he says how good I'm doing...

Hopefully you will do even better as many people do. As my eye is still twitching again, time to see the retina Doc again.

    Best of luck.Brenda E

Thank you Brenda E for all the encouragement, I feel so alone sometime, my life seems so different now, it's hard to get a grasp on everything, wish I could be more positive like you

    Thank you, Paula
