DCIS, rads?

Not being familiar with DCIS.... is it odd to get 30 total rads? Is it overkill? Margins weren't clean at first lumpectomy but second got it all. Will start with 15 to see how it goes then go for 30. Age: 72 in otherwise decent health.

Artista - I'm your same age. I had clear margins but still had 25 rads.

Thanks. It's not for me but someone I care about. I was overdone and worry if it will happen to her.
