Hair loss from Afinitor/Aromasin

Seems each day some of my hair keeps coming out. Is there anything you

can do to stop it or help. I ask my doc but she did not know of anything.

i just started this combination today. We'll see if I experience the same thing.

caall1234, I took Afinitor and Aromasin for 7 months during which I noticed a lot of hair thinning. I never developed a bald spot but every time I shampooed my hair I lost what looked to be a hamster sized wad of shed hair!

My oncologist at the time was from India and when I mentioned what Afinitor was doing to me she said, "In India we rub olive oil onto our scalps." I was so surprised at this odd response to me telling her about a worrisome side effect I didn't say anything else about it. But thought to myself afterwards if I were to put any OIL on my scalp I'd need so much shampooing to remove it I'd probably lose the rest of my hair! What an odd comment!

The hair shedding started a few months after beginning Afinitor and it stopped after another few months. I've got thin hair to begin with but no one other than me noticed anything different about my hair.

I have thin hair to So maybe it will stop soon I hope so.
