Hi everyone,

I have been diagnosed with stage 4 IDC in September. I was started on letrozole and Ibrance in October. I did 3 cycles so far and I am responding well, no side effects, no fatigue, no nausea I am feeling great. The only thing is that my neutrophils are too low and I have to pause another week before my next cycle and my dose have been lowered to 100 mg from 125 mg. I would like to hear from people that have been longer on the drug, their experience, how long it's been working to suppress their cancer, side effects?

Thank you,

Tedi

There is a vibrant Ibrance thread here. You will be able to read and seek lots of input: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/8/topics/...

I've been on Ibrance/Faslodex combo for almost 10 months. Much like you I have had very few side effects but my neutrophils tank at the end of each cycle. They have not lowered the dose or had me extend the time off yet. I've heard your body can and will adjust and hopefully your neutrophils will stay at acceptable levels on the new dose. Docs don't seem too concerned about extending your time off of the drug to allow for white cells to rebound. In fact I was reading that the time off is really important to the effectiveness of the drug and extra days don't hurt at all. I've had two good scans since being on this combination.
