I have a marble like lump in my breast. A ultrasound revelaed a normal looking intrammary lymph node , the radiologist that did it said she sees it pretty often and on report mentioned no follow up. My ob/gyn called me later to tell me everything normal. I had a different radiologist review the results and she too said everything looks fine, but then threw in just to monitor it.. when i asked if it can become cancerous, she said typically not.

I was just at my ob/gyn for removal of birth control and when i asked him about it, he said i should repeat an ultrasound once i become pregnant bec it can become bigger then. He also told me intrammary lymph nodes are common but not normal. This freaked me out... i don't know who to trust?? Is it normal or not? Im really concerned now that it can become bigger. I don't do very well with the "waiting period"i get alot of anxiety with that.

I don't know if its indeed necessay to follow up, or having this in my breast makes me at higher risk of developing bc.

If it's normal, y would it show up just out of the blue? I had an ultrasound last year and there was no mention of it..

Please share if you have any info on this.

Thank you!
