Anyone else dealing with this. It all started on Affinitor and my hemoglobin went to a 6. Had a transfusion and up to 8.7. Still low and makes me so fatigued. Been on Ibrance for 3 weeks and labs today were 6.9. I see Oncologist later. Kind of scared. I know you can die if it gets low.

I am anemic due to my chemo (Gemzar) so I've been doing self-injections of procrit twice a month which has brought it back into the range they want it to be in. Your doctor should be monitoring this for you and hopefully set you up with a treatment that addresses that! I wish you the best! Take care!

My brother has had anemia since he started taxol. It's always been low, fluctuating from 10 all the way down to 6. It was 6.5 last week and they gave him 2 units of RBC. Now it's 9.2 a week later. They think it's a combination of radiation and left over Ibrance. I will ask about procrit, that sounds like something that might really help him since he's been dealing with it for so long.
