Hi All,

I have a question. For the past 2 weeks off and on mainly at early morning hours, I get this burning painful numb hand that practically brings tears to my eyes. It takes like 10 mins for it to go away and have feeling back in my hand. I get this several times a night. I googled it and it said neuropathy and might be a side effects of Arimidex. I have have been on arimidex since the spring 2016 and there are side effects that have come and gone. Wondering if this is one of those side effects. Anything it I can to help with the hand pain and burning. Maybe an ice pack ??

Thanks Ladies...

I have neuropathy in my hands and I experience that most mornings. Applying heat helps mine. I find if I use my hand a lot the day before ( writing, cooking, etc), it is worse the next day.

It could be treatment-related neuropathy or could be a bulging disc/pinched nerve, likely in the neck. Arthralgia from our treatments increases the risks for both. Do you have any pain in your back, shoulder or arm or just the hand?

I hope you get some answers and some relief soon.

JFL- I don't have any pain in my back, shoulder or arm. Just in my hand- mostly in the morning hours a few times before I get up for the day. I will be asking my nurse today when I go and get my Xgeva shot. Hopefully, I will get some answers today. Thanks all.
