After chemo, having breathing problems.

Hi I finished chemo last week. I'm finding it difficult to breathe just walking from one room to another. I'm told this is normal but it doesn't feel like it. There are times when it is so hard to breathe that I panic. One day I can feel ok and I'm able to do things like go grocery shopping. The next I'll be layed out on the couch unable to do anything.

Anybody else experience this kind of fatigue and breathing?

ChattyKat - I don't know what kind of chemo you had since your profile is not visible. But I certainly had mega amounts of fatigue. I don't particularly remember breathing problems, but I was certainly to tired to go out & pick up the newspaper some days. It got better with time for me. But if your problems continue, you should definitely check with your MO.

I had similar issues after my last chemo. Getting very puffed with any slight exertion. It happens when your red blood counts are low but should improve over time. Yours sounds excessive if it is ok some days and not others. I'd get checked out to be sure.
