Staph infection during radiation

Hello

Last week was week 5 of six weeks of daily radiation. My skin has really taken a bad turn this last week. I was diagnosed with a staph infection underneath my breast and in a few spots on my chest and armpit.

Has anyone dealt with this? When i heard "staph" i was pretty frightened. How long will it take to heal? Just looking for similar stories and/support.

    I never had radiation but just wanted to say I hope it clears up soon. Sorry you are suffering with infection.

    I have had staph infections before but not related to BC. I was told that we all have staph infection on our skin at all times and it can get into a wound - like if you keep scratching a mosquito bite and the skin is broken. Keep up with the docs recommendations.
