what a morning, hardly slept and was so nervous! But my breast mass biopsy came back benign! So happy!

benign breast tissue with collection of neutrophiles, plasma cells and lymphocytes, compatible with organizing abcsess .

(If someone can explain that a bit to me that would be great)

I started a course of antibiotics, hoping they work but the condition tends to come back, so may be looking at surgery early next year if it doesn't clear up after a couple rounds of penicillin.

I believe this all started around the time I was stopping breastfeeding, I must have developed mastitis, but I let it go..that's when my nipple inverted and the pain steadily became worse. Then a lump of I'm guessing scar tissue developed causing all this worry. I'm kicking myself in the butt now for not taking care of things pronto and now having to deal with this pain but I'm so grateful for a pretty decent clean bill of health.

I want to thank everyone who helped support me on this site for the last couple of months. I love the sheer love and concern for one another, you guys rock! This site rocks!

As i understand your report, it appears that you have an abscess there. Great news because that's usually fixed with antibiotics!

thank you everyone! I have a birthday coming up(the big 30 for me) so this is a wonderful birthday and Christmas gift! Also I am just so grateful that my daughter has me back in good spirits , she has her old happy slightly naggy lol mom back;)

Hello! I am that lost soul Did you end up having plasma cell mastitis by any chance? Your initial symptoms sound very similar to mine (apart from the breastfeeding - I have never had children), I had a large, tender at times swelling under my nipple. The nipple itself had always been inverted but with the lump even more so. I've been diagnosed with PCM, but it is so hard to find any info about this! Usually google is a wealth of knowledge but not in this case!
