Had excisional surgery...waiting for results! worried

Family history of BC on both sides. Mother and cousin (dads side).

Mammogram should no findings. Ultrasound showed lump. MRI showed Birads 4c suspicious mass (left breast). And being tested for BRCA

I had excisional biopsy surgery this past friday and they removed the entire lump. The surgeon had a hard time finding it prior to surgery and once she was in there, she said the lump was much bigger than expected. It grew in size and was located under my nipple / closer to my skin.

While I wait, I have been researching online (bad habit) and connected breast cancer with possible link with Mirena IUD. I have had my IUD for over two years now for endometriosis. I was also on hormone medication (norepinephrine spelling?) for a few months, then I was put on lupron for 3 months and then put on the IUD that is now releasing more progesterone into my system to help the endo. I have a ton of cysts in my right breast and I am worried I should remove the IUD. When i mentioned I had one, she didn't seem concerned but the more I read about it, the more concerned I am.

Should I be worried more?

I am hoping I get my results this week. If I am diagnosed with BC, would they tell you over the phone or would they make me come into the office?

Hi,

I was diagnosed on needle biopsy and the next day the nurse, from the surgeons, called and told me on the phone. That was on a Thursday, the next day I was in the surgeon's office for consultation and the following Tuesday I had lumpectomy.

waiting for test results is the worst part of the process.

ah so it is normal to be told over the phone? did they give you full details or just that you had BC? guess i am nervous bc family/friends tell me, "oh if its bad, they will call you into the office" but i don't want to wait 14 days for the results
