Can we use this thread to share information on latest research on IBC since the recommended articles feature seems to have nothing very recent on IBC ?

I've been scouring google for articles on new research about IBC. Has anyone seen this article from Science Daily (2013) :

University of Delaware. "New drug shows promise in fighting inflammatory breast cancer." ScienceDaily. ScienceDaily, 7 March 2013. <www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/03/130307175511...>.

I did not know this : (quoting article) --

"IBC is relatively rare, uses a different pathway in which it spreads, or metastasizes, and is much more deadly than the common form of breast cancer. Receptors in the typical form of the disease are on the outside of the cell, but in IBC they are on the inside, making them harder to target for treatment."

The article is already three years old, and includes very little information about the drug, which is being tested on mice; however it seems to work by making the cancerous cells more available to be treated with chemotherapy,

"In Joglekar's studies with mice, she and van Golen were especially encouraged by the way the drug seems to significantly increase the effectiveness of the usual chemotherapy. This compound effect, van Golen said, might mean that IBC patients could undergo less extensive chemotherapy, with resulting fewer side effects, than they do now."

I wish I could find more information on this study because my IBC had only a minimal reaction to all my chemotherapy, was not very reactive to the radiation either, is not hormone sensitive, except for slightly to oestrogen, so if it comes back (and I am worried that it is coming back, updates will follow) it would really be great if some progress had been made in the way being researched in this article.

Has anyone heard about this research ?
