Oh my goodness - I was outside most of the day and I swear I have cold packs on my chest. I'm thinking I may need to get the heating pad out to warm them up! What do you do to warm them up?

So glad you posted this question! I went skiing the other day, and noticed the same thing. How can we keep these sweater puppies warm without risk of burning them with a chemical heat pack etc?

So far the only thing that has worked for me is to take a hot shower.

I KNOW. Sometimes I feel like my lungs are freezing. I wear silk camisoles (check WinterSilks and LLBean) and I've learned to love vests and ruanas. I always have a long scarf or a light shawl handy-- if not around my neck, there's usually one tied onto my purse and one that lives in my car.

A down puffer vest is very, very helpful. I am miserable outside in winter without it.

But yes, sometimes the only way to break the chill is a hot shower. Oh, and keep your skin hydrated. I put fractionated coconut oil on my chest morning and night. It may be my imagination, but dry skin feels colder.

Are you talking about those implantable refrigerator packs, a/k/a silicone implants? I wear UnderArmour warm gear. There are everything from long sleeve turtle necks to outer wear. The warm gear is the only thing that keeps my chest warm.

By the way, there is a flip side problem. Be very careful doing anything that involves heat being applied to your chest - hot tubs, heating pads, etc. Increasing the temperature of the implants can raise your core body temperature.
