Breast Cancer: Axillary Lymph Nodes and Inguinal Lymph Nodes

I have IDC of the left breast. The tumor is 2.5 to 2.9. I am ER+/PR+, HER2-. Ki-67 is 15% and P53 is also 15%. I had an equivocal HER2 result of 2+ and FISH study results are HER2-. CNB pathology report and MRI show no invasion of lymph nodes. Since I was diagnosed on November 3, I have a lot of discomfort in my left groin area, the same side as the tumor. My surgeon told me not to worry about it because they are not connected and the groin area would not have to do with the breast cancer. Five weeks later, I have pain and now notice one or two inguinal nodes. Sitting on my bed crosslegged is unbearable. Is there a possibility that this is a symptom of the breast cancer spreading? If this is a possibility, then I can better advocate for myself.

I have founf the hard way that we DEFINITELY have to advocate for ourselves. If your surgeon will not listen to you then go to your family doc, as you would if you did not have cancer. They should order an ultrasound, and that'll show whether or not they think a biopsy is necessary.

Thank you KBeee for responding. I had a vaginal ultrasound done last week, and it did not show anything abnormal in the uterus nor the ovaries; however, an ultrasound of the inguinal area was not ordered. My surgery is next Friday, the 6th, and I am wondering if at that point they will know more when they do the sentinel node biopsy.
