Daughter of Mom with stage 4

Hello, I am new to this forum, but I am trying to learn as much as possible due to my Mom being stage 4. She has mets to the liver and spine, her2 positive. She has had 4 cycles of chemo, and her pain is much better. She had a pet scan last week, Doctor said overall improvement of all lesions with 1 new liver lesion. He said he would add a medication to her chemo. Has anyone had this happen? We were very hopeful when he said overall improvement, but then alarmed again that there was a new lesion. We are hopeful the new medication will help. Any information would be welcomed. Thank you!

Hi daughter, cancer treatment is a dance. Your mom has a lot of chemo choices. Need to find a good fit. Ask the onc more questions till your satisfied. What chemo is it?
