SuMarie... We can all understand these emotions because we are living it. Hard for others to get it.

Welcome Rita & TrishCat .... Trish we would appreciate any help. The bra thing confuses me since I am not able to go bra less ... I start my rads tomorrow.

I've been feeling down and confused but yesterday I got blown away by a huge group of family and friends on my drive way then lights and sirens and the Pink Heals group surprised me with roses, hugs and a prayer. It was so amazing ...for me!! I wanted to share some pictures on this site too

Hi Rita, I have not had a pre- rads mamo and no one has mentioned having one. But that could change as they called and left a message with an appointment time for this coming Tuesday. I'm going to call tomorrow to see what it is for. Since my RO said they would not start Rads until 4 weeks after my last Chemo, which was Nov. 30. I'll let you know what they say.

Stg4thrivor and others -- This website has a wealth of good information about all phases of BC treatment. Go to the main site and poke around. It is good to have as much info as possible under you belt. They also have a great search, if you are looking for something specific. This site was recommended by my Cancer Clinic as a place to get good information, since most of the websites are a little iffy.

So very thankful to see this thread. I just met with a rad onc last week, and am expected to begin 6 weeks of rads in January.I recently had lymph nodes removed from under my arm, so I have to heal a little more before they will begin rads. Good luck and I look forward to everyone sharing their experiences/tips as we get through this together. Thanks, ElizabethAM !

I asked about deodorant and hair removal they said as soon as rads starts to not use anything so I think I'll have an underarm wax the week before

As it turned out, my RO's nurse called and said I was not to start till January. She called and got my appointments cancelled and rescheduled to start Janurary 3rd.

Lorri, I know how you feel. It comes on me at the most inopportune times. Unfortunately, we can't have a drink to relax the nerves a little bit ( I do love my Bailey's and Coffee). But a sleep does seem to fix it... Things always seem better in the morning.

I got a CT scan so they could plan the radiation, not a mammogram. 4 dots of tattoos and a dry run with x-rays this Friday and we are ready to cook starting the 27th. Ready to get going so it can be over.

Also started my tamoxifen two days ago and no side effects as of yet.

On the bad side, oven broke yesterday, luckily no festivities planned for here

KKsMom...Welcome hopefully we can help each other through this.

Lorri.... Not sure why these emotions just hit us when they do but it could be we have a serious thing going on in our bodies and it's scary to me and I try to be brave for everyone else. My RO said I could use Tom's deodorant but I didn't ask about shaving because I haven't had to since chemo..one good SE.

ArtyMom...started my cooking today ... My friend keeps calling me her glow in the dark friend. She went through radiation 2 years ago ... I'm about ready to ask if she really did glow in the dark? Haha

    Tomorrow #

Hello ladies, January starter here. Tomorrow is my last chemo and then I get to frequent the hospital for 7weeks of daily radiation. I don't have a start date yet, I was just told it would be about 3 weeks after chemo ends. Hopefully I can get an appointment with RO soonto get a start date set up.

hello ladies, I had my last chemo today. It was a little anticlimactic. I'm just so glad to have it done with. I never know how I'm going to react emotionally. I didn't even cry once.

Yesterday my husband talked to my RO to make sure he will double check the CT scan & my tattoos next Monday, which is suppose to be my first radiation.

I don't have to worry about underarm hair since the chemo I don't have any! I wish the hair on my head would grow but there's other places i don't want hair, too bad we can't pick and choose.

I'm so happy to see so many ladies in our group, supporting each other.

ElizabethAM I'm sorry you've been on roller coaster ride about when your going to start your radiation. That is so hard.

SuMarie....woohoo! Glad your done with chemo. When my last one was over there was no bell to ring or anything but I was happy to get the heck out of there.

Ware..welcome to the group. Hoping your last chemo goes well tomorrow.

Hope you both don't have too terribly bad SE.

    Hugs 😘

Lorri....don't be silly ... I didn't even find what you have said offensive. I cried enough tears as my hair all fell out..it was way more emotional then I ever imagined. Now I just chuckle when my friends complain about their bad hair day..lol

    Hello Ladies,

Lorri70, please don't give it a second thought, hairy or bare we're all in this together.

Welcome Ware, looks like we both had the same chemo. 4 AC and 12 taxol.

I'm getting a vitamin C infusion right now and since I'm 'tided up' I'm going to read through some forums about radiation side effects.

ArtyMom- did your friend glow in the dark? 💡:-)

I look like Curly from the 3Stooges and for the first time in my life I have a Brazilian that was paid for by the government. I have laughed about it since it started, because I know it will grow back at some point. In our situation we need to keep our sense of humour as much ass we can.

OK ladies, I had my dry run for radiation that starts on Tuesday and everything was fine except that my shoulder really bothered me, not that I can't get my arms up but keeping both arms up. With my head turned to the left made my whole body shake and now a couple of hours later both shoulders are aching. Treatment should be a little shorter time wise, I hope this is not going to happen every time
