Half marathon ready 15 weeks after exchange surgery?

Honest answers please...

I have been running half marathons (and a few marathons) for about 8 years, and there is one particular one I do every spring. I'd hate to "break my streak" and think it could be a good goal for me but I am trying to be realistic.

I had a BMX in July, and really haven't managed to run more than 4 miles since I began running again in late August. Not sure if it's mental or physical.

My exchange surgery is Jan 10, and this half marathon is April 30. Assuming I am given the green light to begin exercising again about 4 weeks after surgery, I will have about 11 weeks to train for the half.

I don't need to register today but they are running a "sale" on registration that ends today so I've been thinking about it.

Thoughts????

Thanks!
