edited December 2016 in Waiting for Test Results

I have been having moderate pain in my left breast for at least 3 months. I had my first mammogram on Tuesday, which took forever, then waited about half an hour for the radiologist (who's only in on tuesdays and Thursday's) to review it and tell me I needed to get an ultrasound. My regular doctor's office called this morning to tell me to pick up a referral and schedule an ultrasound. I saw my mammogram images online today, and they don't look great. I was told I need a bilateral ultrasound, even though the pain and distinct lump was only on my left breast. I'm being fast tracked and it's scaring me a bit. I'm 35 with no family history of breast cancer. The spots on the mammogram are solid and spidery. Both my dr and the radiologist want me to get an ultrasound asap though. I don't know anyone who's gone through breast cancer or a follow-up from a mammogram. Is the rapid response normal or should i prepare for bad news
