Follow-Up Tests

I am a survivor of three years. Recently had appt. with oncologist. Recent mammogram was good as well as clinical exam and labs. She wants to see me back in six months. Before my next appt. I am to have labs done again. This time she is including tumor markers. From what I am seeing online at reliable sites, these are generally not done anymore to check for recurrence. Tests not reliable with a high percentage of false positives and false negatives. Ladies, is it the norm to order these tests? What has been your experience? Don't want to confront her about it if it is the norm if you know what I mean. Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!
