Any tips to curb cravings and decrease appetite??
I'm 5'4", 173 lbs. I'd lost 20 lbs and got down to 168 but after 3 weeks of just eating normally again (not even being bad!), I put 5 lbs back on! I think it's the Femara. I had my tissue expanders exchanged for implants 3 weeks ago and have been on activity restrictions again so that's part of it.
I was expanded to 650cc and the doctor was hoping to be able to put in 700 or 750cc implants but that didn't work out and they're only 650cc. On my fat body they look too small and I'm not willing to exchange for larger implants. I HAVE to lose weight and keep it off! DH and I have decided that if I'm down to 150 (or hopefully less) by next December I can get a tummy tuck.
Any successful weight losers out there? What tricks do you have to curb cravings? I've been trying to eat a lot less carbs but going full Atkins just doesn't work with my lifestyle. I avoid breads and pastas, try to choose protein over carbs whenever possible. I get awful cravings though. I'm keeping canned fruit around to snack on, instead of desserts, for when I get a sudden bad sweets craving - and sugar free popsicles. When I'm just super hungry and not craving anything, but over on calories, I've been having a can of spinach or a tomato . . . . but I need more ideas for satisfying, fast snacks. Gum is not helping. I've found that, since starting the Femara, I pretty much have to get down to 1200 calories a day to lose weight.
Anything that works to decrease your appetite?

I was in a weight loss study just recently. It's called the 2 day diet - basically you jumpstart your glycemic index by going high protein low carb for 2 day and the other 5 you eat mediterranean. I had lost 12 lbs on the 3 month study and then I went crazy when my mom and friend died. It is really a good lifestyle change. I just had an emotional eating issue and took me off course. They have lots of ideas for snacks. You seem to eat about every 2 hours but something healthy like, fruit and cottage cheese, nuts, veggies and yogurt dip, hummus and carrots. If I could just get off the roller coaster again and be accountable for my sugar binges, I could take it off again. Oh and the amount of calories is based on how much you weigh. Mine on the 5 day unrestricted part was 1800 calories.
Edit - Canned fruits and veggies have stuff in them that aren't real good for you. This diet has either fresh or frozen foods.
