I just started wearing a Tribute Night Sleeve this summer, I just wondered how long do they last before you have to replace them?

I don't wear my Chanelled vest sleeve every night but I was told you should get a long time out of it. At least a year or more. I hope someone with experience let's us know. I try not to over tug at it while putting on and off and use my donning gloves and a silicon sheet set on my bar height counter to work the sleeve up my arm.
I think if you manhandle it then it won't last. Treat it like it's your new Mercedes Benz because they are about that expensive! I sometimes say that my custom Jovi vest and night sleeve are the reason why I can't buy a new vehicle. Then I put my vest/sleeve on and say how do you like my new car I'm wearing! Dang this stuff is not cheap!

I used my last/first Tribute sleeve for 5 yrs. My LET guy saw it annually and always said it was fine until last yr. The material was starting to get threadbare along the top and bottom so he ordered me a new one. He is very good about being sure that he orders me 2 new custom sleeves and gloves every 6 mths so I've never seen and reason to question him on my night sleeve. I can always see/feel the difference in my day garments when I get the new ones as the 'old' ones feel a bit 'less'.

Next Mon, I'll be up at Ft. Meade for other appts so plan on stopping in to 'chat' with him as I need new garments for my FlexiTouch. Also I got a letter in the mail yesterday for Tribute that said that I need to order a new one as it's been a year since I got the new/last one. Of course, I could call him and I will if I can't chat with him Mon but I like talking person to person.

I LOVE MY TRIBUTE! That said, I have no idea how long they last, I've had mine about a year and it shows no sign of wear. But I only wear it when I've been using my arm a lot about once a week. When I first got it I wore it several nights a week for about a month. I have long arms thus my tribute cost 900.00 because it's a custom. I would pay that every year if I had to because I rarely wear my normal compression since I started using this night sleeve.

I'd agree with Kicks that mine last about five years, wearing them every night (and some evenings at home if I'm having a flare). Also for drives up into the mountains, instead of wrapping. I have truncal LE and bilateral arm LE, so two sleeves and a full vest. My sleeves have zippers the full length to the wrist, since getting into two of them is a chore. They're heavy-duty zippers and they, too, have lasted well. (Zippers make donning and removing them vastly easier, so I recommend them even if you only use one sleeve, as there are reasons to want to get out of them easily in the night.

It's important to take good care of them. Launder as needed on a gentle cycle with a gentle laundry soap (I use Dreft). I do a second rinse, then put them in the dryer on low with a couple of towels and three tennis balls (which also last about five years). The tennis balls help restore the loft. I do this early in the morning, dry them for about 90 minutes, then set them out on a drying rack to finish drying (but I live in the desert--if you live where it's humid it could take longer). Laundering them also restores the compression if they've loosened up a bit.

In summer I store them in the refrigerator in a plastic bag during the day so they're cool to don at night (don't put them in the freezer). In winter if the house is cold I toss them into the dryer on low for a couple of minutes and they're absolutely YUMMY to put on!

Hooray for night garments!!! When they fit well they take the place of a lot of inconvenient wrapping!

    Be well,
    Binney

My first tribute lasted 3 or 4 years, I think 4? I pushed its lifespan out a little by always using it with the oversleeves (don't know what they are called) for the last year or so.
