Had biopsy 11-9

Met with surgeon this past Wednesday These are the words he underlined and talked about in path report

INVASIVE HIGH GRADE DUCTAL CARCINOMA (only thing discussed or mentioned)

He did not address the rest which read WITH FOCAL METAPLASTIC. SPINDLE CELL FEATURES

NO INTRAVASCULAR OR PERINURAL INVASION IDENTIIFED

COMMENT AT END OF REPORT

tHIS LESION REPRESENTS AN UNUSUAL FORM OF HIGH GRADEINFILTRATING CARCINOMA IN WHICH THERE ARE SUFFICIENT SPINSLE CELSTO WARRANT A DIAGNOSIS OF FOCAL METAPLASTIC FEATURES

So obviously after reading whole report at home and researching on internet am confused and terrified!

Called nurse coordinator this am with these questions and she was to consult with Dr and call me.

Anyone here with similar experience or helpful knowledge?

I'm so sorry, Sherry! I don't have answers to your specific diagnosis, but I'm sure you'll hear from someone on the boards soon. If I were you, I'd call doc's office again this afternoon, because I wouldn't want to go through the weekend (again!) without knowing what exactly I was dealing with. Don't worry about bugging them. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
