Lupron - 1 month injection versus 3 month injection

Hi, everyone. I was wondering ifanyone has had experience with the 3 month Lupron injection versus the 1 month? I have been getting a shot every month for almost a year and tolerating it ok. I want to switch to the 3 month shot, but worry the side effects will worsen. Thoughts?

    Hi Kessa, I don't know the side effects for 3-month shot as I'm on monthly Zoladex (similar drug to Lupron). I don't believe they're significantly different. I've seen some women on the 3-monthly regimen, hope they'll chime in.

    I brought up the 3-monthly shot to my MO but she said it's not as effective as the monthly shot in suppressing ovaries and some women experience breakthroughs. I'm curious as to what your MO says about it.

    Hi, ErenTo. Thanks for your response. My MO didn't mention the potential impact on ovarian suppression. He only said that the SOFT trial results were based on 1 month injections and doctors get spooked about altering the treatment for fear of not achieving the same result. Hopefully some others have some experience
