Letrozol and Ibrance quit working

I have been on these med for 6 months. I had a pet scan and showed

that the cancer was growing on my spine. Now he wants to put me

on some new med called. Afinitor and Aromasin. Is anyone taking

these med now? He said if that don;t work he wants me to do

chemo. I told him I did not want to do chemo. How often do you

have to do chemo if you do it?

We're so sorry to hear this news. It can be so frustrating when a drug you are optimistic about doesn't live up to your expectations. Welcome to this great group! I was in the same place as you 4 weeks ago...

I was on IBRANCE for 4 months the doctor did a pet scan notice the cancer growing up the spine so slight a cat scan would not had picked it up. My doctor told me she wanted me to start right away on Aromasin and Afinitor as I did 4 weeks ago with little side effect and feeling a lot better then when I was on IBRANCE.

We are here for you if you have any questions!! Make sure you get the special mouth wash use it everyday it helps a lot keep the mouth sores and what also worked for me was taking the Afinitor Pill with whip cream followed by water.

Thanks for the information. I have to do a MRI on my spine. I have not gotten

med yet. Will be getting it next week. Hope they do good.
