Seromas - Has anyone had Schlerosing procedure?

Had my bilateral mastectomy 4/26/16 with start of immediate reconstruction - after several surgeries I had the implants removed and have had seromas (fluid build up) on both sides. My PC was able to drain one in her office and wrapped me in compression and seemed to work. The one I currently have on left side did not go away after compression so I had Radiologist surgeons use a fluoroscope and ultrasound guidance to remove the fluid (100 ml) surgically then they put in a catheter.

A week later they did "schlerosing". They mixed alcohol with a detergent and fill the catheter with it - let it sit 10 minutes and smoosh it around (manually like a deep tissue massage) then flushed it with saline and removed that. I was sent home. This procedure intent is to create inflammation in the area, dry up the fluid and trick your body into making scar tissue to close up the area where the fluid pooled up. I still have a drain and monitor the daily drainage. The doctor advised NOT to take any anti-inflammatory medicine as it would defeat the purpose of the procedure (to create inflammation).

The day after the Sclerosing I could barely move! It created INFLAMMATION throughout my entire body!! I felt like a 90 year old woman and could barely walk, stiff from my fingers to my ankles.

I have to go back 1 week from then and they will monitor it and may possibly have to do the procedure again.

Has anyone else had this procedure done? Did it require repeat procedure? Did you hurt all over?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
