Possibly Pagets
I was looking at a cancer awareness symptoms list in June and decided to squeeze nipples for possible discharge and one of my nipples did have a translucent green secretion. I saw my Gynecologist and since I'd noticed some discomfort in that same breast in the few months previous, she ordered a mammogram, my first. I'm 38. They also did ultrasound on that same breast. Found a 3mm spot they couldn't tell if it was solid all the way through, but it was not showing waves on the other side. Tech said something that small sometimes doesn't but Dr wanted biopsy. Results were fibroadenoma. I was still having some discomfort and several times a day I would have a tingling sensation in the nipple. I was relieved when I noticed I could get a bit of secretion from the other nipple and occasionally tingling in that side, too.
Saw Dr for follow up after biopsy, and she said it's good you are feeling the same in both, but the discomfort is really only the first side and I noticed a damp or sticky feeling more on that side than the other. It was summer so I thought maybe that was cause of dampness. She said vitamin e and cut down on caffeine (I only drink 1 can of pop a day.) Evening primrose ,but the pill is too large me to swallow. Supportive bra. I don't squeeze nipple because apparently that will encourage more secretion.
Now I'm really concerned because I noticed a bit of flaking on both nipples and if I rub or scratch at it, it flakes a lot. I noticed a comment on another site that a lady said before her Pagets diagnosis, she had a stickiness to the nipple.
So my question is, even if the biopsy said fibroadenoma, could it still be Pagets?
I really hope not, but have sickening feeling and shaking as I type this. I have another checkup with gynecologist in December, which is my annual checkup, but she wanted me to keep that appointment even though I have seen her for breast exam before the mammogram and after the biopsy. Sounds like she wants to do the breast exam again then. Breast center wants a mammogram 6 months after biopsy which they said is pretty standard after biopsy.
Sorry this is so long.

Dear Chatter, Sorry that you are worrying and that no one has responded. Most here will say that only your doctor can say for sure what the diagnoses are. Please check in and let us know how your December appointment goes. Be cautious about googling too much as you can always find diagnoses of cancer when you look up your symptoms and such can cause unnecessary worry. The Mods

hi chatter, Paget's would be diagnoised only with a biopsy did you have one? I had Paget's diagnoised in October and I had no discharge at all only a very very red angry looking aerola nipple was slightly red, it was half of aerola not the whole way round, I think Paget's only effects one nipple not both

I had a biopsy that showed the fibroadenoma, but that's all. I've had very little tingling in the nipple this past week compared to normal, so hopefully this is nothing. And no flaking as long as I don't scratch at them to see if they flake. I have an appointment with my ob/gyn again in Dec., so I will definitely mention paget's. I didn't at the last appointment, because I thought she would think I was doing too much internet research and scaring myself or that I was a little hypocondriac. However, the symptoms are real, so I don't really think that fits the definition of hypocondria.
I just want the symptoms to go away so I can return to my life of barely noticing my breasts.

how are things now Chatter?

I saw a dermatologist who didn't see any evidence of Paget's. I'm still dealing with breast issues. Radiologist says the contour of the breast has changed since January mammogram. He suggested MRI. I don't understand the contour thing. They look the same to me, but he's seeing it on the scan.
