QUESTION******************** my tumor size is 2mm, Due to nurse, there are not too much tissue can be used for onco score test? My FISH test even failed, not sure if it is caused by this reason.

Modifier: (sn): Only sentinel node(s) evaluated. If 6 or more nodes (sentinel or nonsentinel) are removed, this modifier should not be used.

QUESTION********************Three SN are taken, the other two are negative. The first one has the following found, will this affect my treatment plan & prognosis?

Category (pN): pN0 (i+): Malignant cells in regional lymph node(s) no greater than 0.2 mm and no more than 200 cells (detected by H&E or IHC including ITC)

2)

MARGINS

Invasive Carcinoma: Margins uninvolved by invasive carcinoma

Distance from Closest Margin: Distance (specify in mm): 1

Closest Uninvolved Margin: Posterior

Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS): Margins uninvolved by DCIS (DCIS present in specimen)

Distance of DCIS from Closest Margin (mm): Distance is < 1 mm

QUESTION******************** I did simple mastectomy, for this margin, do i need radiation?

Wendy - I think the oncotype people need around 3 mm to test. You might send them a question. They get back to you the same day. I can't speak to the node, but I know a micromet will notchange your stage.

Hopefully someone else will come along soon with more answers.
